TIG members meet six or seven times a year. All members receive the minutes of those meetings, which include a summary of the news and information exchanged. Guest speakers are a regular feature of TIG's meetings. TIG also runs an online discussion forum for the sector. Members enjoy priority bookings to TIG study days and conferences. The group has held successful conferences on theatre resources and libraries, the needs of the user, publishing for the performing arts, video archives, and theatre and the internet. Seminars have covered topics such as performing arts databases, copyright, charging for information, legislation affecting archive collections, and managing multimedia collections. Current TIG projects include the National Performance Database and the transfer of the Backstage database to Culture Grid. Joining TIG TIG membership runs from January to December. Adjustments can be made for members joining later in the year. TIG members are automatically made members of SIBMAS, the International Association of Libraries and Museums of the Performing Arts, of which TIG is the UK branch. The biennial SIBMAS Congress is available at a discounted rate to members. For 2011, the annual subscription rates, which include SIBMAS subscription, are: Institutional members (Greater London area) - £40 Institutional members (outside London) - £35 Individual members - £22 Overseas members - £45 Please make membership enquiries through the contact page. Executive Committee TIG is run by an Executive Committee elected at the Annual General Meeting. The committee consists of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Publicity/Information Officer, and Website Officer. Each office may be shared by up to two members. The work of the officers is generously supported by their institutions.
